The 1st Annual Virginia APCO / NENA / SIEC Interoperability Conference and Exposition will be held October 27-30, 2009 in Roanoke, Virginia. By combining the Fall Conferences for APCO/NENA and Interoperability, we hope to provide you with an even greater opportunity to learn and share information.

Scholarship funding from the Virginia Wireless Services Board will be available for the Fall Conference. The scholarship funding will cover hotel accommodations and registration up to $1,000.00 per locality with a primary PSAP. Primary PSAP means your locality must be eligible for wireless board funding. The $1000.00 is considered in its totality and can be extended to several individuals from your locality. A 30 day public comment period for the 700Mhz Plan is now open. (pdf 14.7MB)
All comments are due to the Commonwealth Interoperability Coordinator's Office by April 24th 2009.
Communications Cache White Paper
The Communications Cache White Paper was submitted to LLIS.gov as a National Best Practice on Friday, November 7th, and will also be submitted to the Office of Emergency Communications during their upcoming nationwide data call for Best Practices. Special thanks go out to Communcations Cache members from Harrisonburg/Rockingham, Chesapeake and Fairfax, in addition to the excellent support provided to the CICO by Laura Peard and Walt Kaplan.
